Returnship Coordinator
MARS Solutions Group has many reasons to celebrate. On September 1, 2022, their MARS Returnship Program turns two years old. MARS founder and CEO, Rashi Arora Khosla launched the program in the middle of the pandemic with tremendous results. In February 2022, MARS Returnship Program welcomed its largest cohort to date, nineteen participants.
In honor of the returnship program’s anniversary, we would like to spotlight one of our alumni and where she is now in her career. Vinny Xavier began her journey with the Returnship Program in the fall of 2021.
Here is her story in her own words:
“I hold a master’s degree in electrical engineering from a university in India. I started my career working as a faculty member in an engineering college before I decided to be a stay-at-home mom for my family and kids. I could not work for many years as I was on a dependent Visa that wouldn’t authorize me to work. During that time I completed various courses through the Waukesha County Technical College to improve my soft skills, learning skills, interpersonal skills, and professional and software skills. I have explored various career paths including health care, education, and Information Technology. I was very fortunate to begin MARS Returnship in October 2021. The program helped me to explore and challenge myself to learn new skills and technologies. The course was well structured and provided me with an opportunity to try out new things. The support from the trainer, mentor, and team members was amazing. The course gave me a new perspective and a high level of confidence to attend interviews. After completing the MARS Returnship Program, I was recruited as a full stack developer at a bank in Milwaukee.”
In February 2022, Vinny began working in a contract position for MARS Solutions Group’s client, Associated Bank. After a successful six months on the job, Vinny was recently hired as a full-time employee for Associated Bank.
Over the course of the program’s two years, MARS Returnship’s participants have gained knowledge and hands-on practical applications in the fields of, Full-Stack Development, Test Engineering, Project Management, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.
The MARS Returnship Program begins a new Full-Stack Development Track on September 13, 2022. If you would like to apply or want more information on the Returnship Program, visit our website.
